We are looking for 32– Papers for the International Journal of Green Economics
Double Blind Peer Reviewed Academic Journalfor 2026/2027.
20th Anniversary of The Green Economics Institute- special volume.
2025 marks the 21st anniversary of the founding of the Green Economics Institute and the idea of this journal. Our issues are now complete for 2025 but we are inviting papers for 2026/2027.
Therefore we are particularly interested in articles which reflect on 20 years of change and innovation and inspiration from The Green Economics Institute and its associated activities as well as the incredible march of the green economy and green economics which we never in our wildest dreams could have hoped for or foreseen and its influence on the global economy and pysche and even its unique place in countering despotism and prejudice and broadening diversity and even leading in inclusion and saving the world from destruction.
Most of our predictions fortunately or unfortunately came true and most of our analysis was accepted as understood in the intervening years. Therefore we will try to do it again.
We are appealing for any articles which help us understand the last 20 years in the light of Green Economics and any articles which help us explain, foresee and perhaps innovate or provide solutions to the challenges of the next 20 years.
We would like to receive these in good time for 4 timely issues of the journal. The most interestings ones will mean that we approach the authors to contribute to some of our books which the The Green Economics Institute and GEIBooks will publish in 2026 as well trying to predict the future and to influence it to make the world a better place for its inhabitants both human and non human.

We are always pleased to receive articles for our academic double blind peer reviewed journal The International Journal of Green Economics which comes out 4 times a year with rolling deadlines, so you can always submit your papers, abstracts and ideas. It is academic, with Harvard style referencing, no footnotes, and is double blind peer reviewed. Many of our writers have enhanced their careers by publishing in our journal, for example obtaining promotion to Professor or becoming a Director of a major NGO or business and many other improvements to their careers or getting jobs they had always dreamed of.
There is a queue to get into this popular journal – the first and only one of its kind in the world. It is ground breaking and launched Green Economics globally. It was founded by Miriam Kennet the Editor in 2003 with our professional journal publisher Inderscience.

We will accept 32 more papers in 2026 under the wide and broadest umbrella of Green Economics. The preferred subjects will be:
Reflections on the achievements of Green Economics, Green Economy and The Green Economics Institute special issue probably publishing in 2026.
Reflections on Biodiversity Loss,
Reflections on Climate Change
Reflections on Social Justice, Distribution, Equality, Poverty, Demographic Shift, Trade Shifts, IT and its impacts, The Crisis in Democracy, The Crisis of Leadership and The Crisis of Corruption. The structure of finance and economics -and suggestions for its rescue. Privatisation and corruption – where the boundaries lie.
The ownership of media and power and corruption.
Neo feudalism
The proper role and scope of the state
Ending the war against women
Ending the war against nature
Ending the move towards global wars.

Some recent suggestions have included for example: Rebalancing the Economy, Water issues, papers of a General Nature as well as Methodology for Green Economics and the Green Economy, and Ending the War Against Women and minorities and papers on Renewables, Fracking and Climate Change, Black Swan Events Energy, Climate Change, and any aspect of social and environmental and economic justice, innovation and reform.

Authors are also encouraged to write for the Green Economics Institute’s Books info@geibooks.org.uk and www.geibooks.org.uk as well and many of our authors have published in both.
We welcome diverse contributions and we especially like to welcome and help with contributions from new writers and innovative ideas and also from Professors and Nobel Prize Winners and anything in between. The writing and papers for the journal have to be between 2500 and 7000 words. We cover academic, polemic, simple and more complex writing, political, academic, campaigning and business styles of writing.
The journal is gender balanced and balanced between developing countries and developed country authors and also north south east and western Europe, Africa, Asia, and other areas. BRICS, and MINTs etc. It is also multi and inter disciplinary and also pluralist and heterodox. So please send in your articles as soon as possible. They can take several months to double blind review depending on the subject as many of them get reviewed by several subject specialists to achieve this ground breaking mix. Sometimes however papers can go through within a month.
Please ensure you cite any items you have not written yourself and photos must all be attributed to who took them. References must be Harvard style- and we do not accept footnotes and papers must be sent in .odt, or .doc formats, (not pdfs). Please ask for further information or guidance if you need it. Please ensure you do not infringe anyone else’s copyright.
